Ten territorial and volunteer fire stations across Moldova will be renovated with European Union financial support under the EU4Moldova Resilient: Safe State, Strong Communities project. Each selected locality will receive up to 418,000 lei to improve intervention infrastructure and upgrade working conditions for firefighters.

Planned Renovations:
- Repairs to ceilings, floors, insulation, and ventilation systems
- Upgrades to sanitary facilities and rest areas
- Overall improvements to working and intervention environments
The improvements aim to create safer and more functional conditions for professional and volunteer firefighters.
Additional Investments:
- 35 fire stations will be equipped with modern intervention tools and advanced communication systems, enhancing rapid response capabilities.
- Training and preparedness for emergency teams will also be improved, with a strong focus on rural and remote communities.
Project Impact:
- Expansion of Moldova’s fire station network from 25 to 35 units
- Strengthened emergency response capacity, especially in rural areas
- Renovation work will be completed by September 2025
- The total budget for this round of grants is 4.2 million lei.
