The EU Funds Boost: 51 Projects Approved Under Interreg NEXT Romania-Moldova

Authorities approved 51 projects for funding from European funds, allocating €56.8 million during the fourth meeting of the Interreg NEXT Romania-Moldova 2021-2027 Monitoring Committee. The Republic of Moldova will receive €26.3 million from this amount.

According to the State Chancellery, the selected projects focus on key areas, including climate change adaptation, biodiversity, education, health, culture, and border management. In the coming period, authorities will contract approximately 80% of the program’s available funds.

To enhance financial absorption, the Monitoring Committee reallocated certain funds and approved additional resources for future small-value projects.
