The European Commission Vice President Kaja Kallas is coming to Chisinau: Details about the visit agenda

On April 23–24, 2025, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission, Kaja Kallas, will pay a working visit to the Republic of Moldova. It marks her first visit to the country as a member of the European Commission, a role she assumed on December 1, 2024.

During her visit, Kaja Kallas will meet with President Maia Sandu, Prime Minister Dorin Recean, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popsoi, and other officials.

The discussions will focus on key topics related to Moldova’s European path, the EU support through the Economic Growth Plan, and the European Peace Facility, which helps Moldova strengthen its security and defense institutions.

The EU official will also dialogue with civil society representatives and, with Foreign Minister Mihai Popsoi, attend a meeting with young European ambassadors.
The visit will conclude with a joint press conference by Kaja Kallas and President Maia Sandu.
