Young people in Moldova now have a new opportunity to start their professional careers through the Public Service Internship Programme, officially launched by the government on October 1. The initiative targets individuals aged between 18 and 29 and provides a monthly stipend of 3,500 lei.

“Another good news for young people seeking professional experience. On October 1, we are happy to launch the public service internship programme,” announced government spokesperson Daniel Voda.

The programme offers 82 positions across 31 public institutions. Applications are open on October 1 and 15, with details available on the official platform: www.stagii.gov.md.

Internships will run for 3–6 months, with a workload of 480 hours. Participants who complete the programme with an “excellent” grade will be eligible for direct employment in executive public positions that do not require prior experience. Graduates will also be placed in the reserve corps of public servants for a year.

“This is a chance for young people to gain real experience alongside dedicated public officials who serve the country daily,” added Voda.

The programme aims to smooth the transition from education to the labor market, offering young people valuable practical experience and professional skills relevant to public administration.
