The Government reviewed the progress made in implementing the measures of the Reform Agenda for the second semester of this year during today’s monitoring meeting on the Growth Plan for Moldova. Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu, cabinet members, and the European Commission delegation led by Gert Jan Koopman, Director-General of DG NEAR, took part in the discussions.

The Prime Minister said that institutions remain fully committed to implementing the agenda and delivering all planned measures on time. “We are working to advance at an accelerated pace, and we align with European standards not only to meet EU requirements, but also because this reflects our national commitment to internal development, raising living standards, and ensuring Moldova’s progress,” Alexandru Munteanu stated.

Institutions have already fully completed some of the planned measures and included them in the first semi-annual report. Others are still being implemented and focus on the energy, economic, labor, and environmental sectors. Based on the progress achieved so far, authorities will begin preparing the second semi-annual report in the coming days. Advancing the actions in the Growth Plan unlocks European funds and attracts new investments for citizen-oriented projects.

Secretary-General of the Government Alexei Buzu highlighted investment projects under the Growth Plan and appreciated the European Commission’s openness to dialogue, guidance, and support.

The EU-supported Growth Plan is the largest and most ambitious financial package in Moldova’s history, worth 1.9 billion euros. It offers a unique opportunity to accelerate economic growth and improve citizens’ living standards.
