Orhei-Vit, the largest fruit and vegetable processing company in the Republic of Moldova, is celebrating its 80th anniversary. Prime Minister Dorin Recean visited the company to mark the occasion, praising its contributions to the national economy.
Operating three production units in Orhei, Briceni, and Causeni with a farm, Orhei-Vit employs over 1,000 people. The company produces more than 200 types of juices, nectars, fruit and vegetable purees, and preserves, according to IPN.
“You have grown into a national leader in juice production and the country’s largest exporter. Your resilience in overcoming crises, making continuous investments, and contributing to economic growth deserves admiration,” Prime Minister Recean stated during his visit, as cited in a government press release.

The company’s management noted that over the past year, Orhei-Vit invested €1 million in modernizing its operations. The upgrades include a new water filtration system, updated machinery, and energy efficiency solutions, which have already cut energy costs by 30%.
Orhei-Vit processes up to 100 million kilograms of raw material per season, with 13 million liters of juice produced annually. The company exports 80% of its output to 38 countries and also processes products for clients in Romania, Germany, and Ukraine. Starting this fall, Orhei-Vit will begin producing natural juice for one of the world’s largest companies in the sector.
