The Ministry of Education and Research organizes Education Week for the second consecutive year. This large-scale event gathers thousands of participants and highlights major educational initiatives. Between May 22 and 25, 2025, organizers will host the event across multiple locations in Chisinau.
Today, Minister of Education and Research Dan Perciun presented the Education Week program during a press conference and shared details about its structure. “This is not just a symbolic end to the school year,” he stated, “but an opportunity to spotlight core themes: children’s and youth education, teachers’ work, parents’ involvement, and society’s role in supporting education.”
During the conference, the minister emphasized key achievements in recent educational reforms and investments: the government invested over 500 million lei in university modernization; increased dual education enrollment by 60%, backed by 170 partner companies; and allocated 746 million lei for school renovation under the European Village programs. The ministry also launched the Model Schools Network project, worth over 70 million euros, to raise education quality.
