Ion Ceban said that specialists from Apa-Canal Chisinau collected water samples from the Dnister River in Vadul lui Voda on March 10 and 11, and the results were good.

“Dear residents, precisely because we do not trust them and because they lie when they say the problem appeared yesterday, although in reality it has lasted for several days, three teams of specialists from Apa-Canal Chisinau went to three different locations on the Dniester River to collect samples, assess the situation on the ground, and evaluate the circumstances. Yesterday and today, our specialists went to Vadul lui Voda and collected samples, and the results are good.

I very much hope that this is not a problem artificially created specifically for Chisinau in order to leave the city without water for several days, just to divert attention from the fuel issue, the rising prices of gasoline and diesel, the disappearance of diesel from gas stations, and, of course, from the inaction and incompetence of the Party of Action and Solidarity, which for a week has neither come out to say anything nor taken any action,” Ceban said.

The mayor also added that the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Moldova had officially asked hospitals in Chisinau to build up water reserves, while the Security and Intelligence Service of the Republic of Moldova warned several municipal institutions to prepare their supplies. According to Ceban, the authorities themselves are creating panic, even though the samples collected by specialists showed good results.
