The Commission for Emergency Situations (CSE) has approved several measures to ensure a reliable and continuous supply of electricity and natural gas to consumers in settlements within the Security Zone. According to the government’s communication department, these areas, under constitutional authorities’ control, remain connected to the energy infrastructure managed by enterprises on the left bank of the Dniester River.
The CSE decided to connect Varnita village in the Anenii Noi district and Copanca village in the Causeni district to the power distribution networks of the state-owned Premier Energy Distribution company, replacing their current link to electricity networks on the left bank of the Dniester. Within five working days of the decision, operators must submit an amended draft of development and investment plans to cover these objectives. The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) will review and approve the proposals within three working days of their submission.
Similarly, villages including Pohrebea, Cosnita, Parata, Dorotcaia, Molovata Noua, Roghi, Cocieri, Corjova, and Vasilievca in Dubasari district, along with Harbovat and Copanca villages in Causeni district, will be connected to natural gas networks managed by Moldova Gas’s licensed distribution operators. Operators have five working days to submit a draft plan, which ANRE will approve within three days.
