The Moldovan government allocated about 2 million lei to support people subjected to political repression

The Moldovan government has earmarked approximately 2 million lei to provide support for individuals who have been subjected to political repression. This decision, greenlit by the government today, entails allocating compensation to reimburse the value of assets affected by such repressions.

Under this initiative, the funds will be channeled to the Donduseni district council, tasked with disbursing them to eligible beneficiaries based on recommendations from special commissions in conjunction with local public administration authorities and court rulings.

This allocation constitutes the initial two installments, covering the years 2023-2024, amounting to a total of 4.9 million lei, which have been rescheduled for disbursement over five years from 2023 to 2027.
