Tourists in Moldova reached 525,100 in 2025, increasing by 10.7% compared to 2024, according to the National Bureau of Statistics. Among them:
- 238,900 were Moldovan citizens
- 286,200 were foreign tourists
Tourists stayed mostly in:
- Guesthouses and agrotourism facilities, which grew by 30.6%
- Hotels and motels, which grew by 13.6%
Holiday camps and tourist villas saw declines.
By region:
- Chisinau hosted 68% of all tourists
- The Central region hosted 19.3%
Tourists spent a total of 1.62 million nights in the country, marking a 4.4% increase, with an average stay of 4.1 days.
