Unlike the Patriotic Bloc, the PAS representatives asked the Constitutional Court (CC) to validate the mandates of all electoral contenders, including those on the Party of Democracy at Home list, led by Vasile Costiuc.

Sergiu Gherciu stated, “We consider that the election was fair, transparent, and legal, with minor deviations noted by the Central Electoral Commission, law enforcement authorities, and the courts. On this basis, we request the validation of the election and the mandates of the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS).”

Constitutional judges Sergiu Litvinenco and Nicolae Rosca clarified whether the request covered only the PAS mandates or all electoral contenders. They confirmed, “Yes, to all electoral contenders.”

During the Constitutional Court session, the Patriotic Bloc requested that the court invalidate the results of the parliamentary election held on September 28, 2025. They based their arguments on polling stations, diaspora voting, campaign messages, and alleged favoritism toward the PAS through the direct involvement of President Maia Sandu, among other issues.

Adrian Lebedinschi declared, “The CC will consider all statements to issue a decision that reflects the real nature of the illegal actions during the parliamentary election, which compromised the rule of law and the free expression of the right to vote. For example, if we compare two figures — the first round of the 2024 presidential election, when authorities recognized 18,460 invalid ballots, and 2025, when authorities recognized 30,857 invalid ballots — that difference represents one mandate.”

When the CC President Domnica Manole asked whether he based his arguments on court rulings, Lebedinschi responded negatively, citing only the “opinion of the people.”
