The President of Moldova discussed security issues with the Romanian senator

Head of State Maia Sandu met with the President of the Commission for Defense, Public Order, and National Security of the Romanian Senate – Nicoleta Pauluc.

The presidential press service reported that the discussion focused on the agenda of bilateral cooperation in security, defense, and public order, as well as the internal security situation in the country, hybrid attempts to destabilize and prepare our institutions to respond to these problems.

Romania is a true friend of our country. President Maia Sandu stressed the importance of support from partners from Bucharest to improve our defense capability, including the military equipment of Moldova’s National Army. We have excellent cooperation at the level of ministries, as a result of which the National Army of the Republic of Moldova participates in the organization of joint exercises and adopts the experience of Romanian specialists.

During the discussions, the head of state once again thanked Romania for all the support provided by the successful organization of the summit of the European Political Community.
