The Romanian Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure announced the authorization for the construction of section 3 (Legin – Targu Neamt) of the Targu-Mures – Targu Neamt highway.
“Priority is given to the A8 highway, which will connect Moldova and Transylvania with Europe, crossing the Carpathians and linking Bucharest. Our goal is to drive this highway from Bucharest to Chisinau by 2030,” said Romanian State Secretary Irinel Scriosteanu.
The works will occur in Nemece and Iasi counties and will take 24 months to complete, with the 30 km section expected to be finished by 2026. Construction will begin in early February.
