The “Chance” Party embarks on its electoral campaign with a strong start. However, the court’s ruling could potentially dishearten the party

The “Chance” Party will not participate in the upcoming presidential elections this fall after the Balti court imposed a three-month restriction on the party’s activities. The Ministry of Justice had previously made this request.

The court’s decision stems from specific legal violations, particularly problems with the financial documentation that the ”Sansa” Party submitted to the Central Electoral Commission.

We recall that in the November 2023 local elections, the Exceptional Situations Commission of the Moldovan Government annulled the registration of all candidates from the ”Chance” Party. The authorities marked the ballot papers for all candidates from this party with a ”withdrawn” stamp.

Earlier, Pavel Postica, the vice-chairman of the Central Electoral Commission, discussed the decision made by the Balti judges. In the ”Rezoomat” program on RLIVE TV, hosted by journalist Ileana Pirgaru, Postica mentioned that the CEC had identified several violations in the party’s activities.
