The Union of Jurists announces the launch of an independent mission to monitor Moldova’s electoral process. The mission will ensure fairness and transparency. It has also launched the online platform monitorizez.eu, where citizens can report violations during the September 28 parliamentary elections.
Maxim Lebedinschi, President of the Union of Jurists of Moldova, said at a public event that the Union regards its role as an electoral observer as “an honor and an opportunity to help the citizens of the Republic of Moldova verify the electoral process’s integrity,” reports IPN.
The mission aims to deliver an independent, impartial, and professional assessment of the electoral process. It will monitor legal compliance, voting-day procedures, respect for fundamental rights, and the pre- and post-election stages; document any irregularities; and develop recommendations to improve electoral processes. The mission will inform public authorities of its findings and offer them guidance.

Maxim Lebedinschi assured that the observation mission operates “independently of political parties or electoral contenders” and that observers will support no political party.
The mission will include long-term national observers, a central coordination team, and short-term local observers. It will monitor the media, social networks, central and on-site public authorities, electoral authorities, electoral contenders, political parties, and voters.
The platform at www.monitorizez.eu will remain open to all citizens. After users report issues, an analysis team will validate and classify incidents, ensuring rigorous monitoring.
