Israeli authorities will automatically extend visas issued to foreign nationals, including Moldovans, that expire between April 1 and May 31, 2026, the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Tel Aviv announced.
Moldovan diplomats specify that foreign nationals do not need to visit the offices of Israel’s Ministry of Internal Affairs to complete any formalities. The measure covers the following visa types: B1 – work visa, B2 – tourist visa, B4 – volunteer visa, A1 – temporary residence visa, A2 – student visa (except agricultural trainees), A3 – clergy visa, A4 – dependent visa, and A5 – temporary residence visa.
The Moldovan diplomatic mission also reports that authorities will apply the decision to entry visas, as well as to permits issued for family reunification or humanitarian purposes.
In the context of the Easter holidays and traditional pilgrimages, authorities in Chisinau warn that flight restrictions are affecting travel to Israel and that Israel may impose additional restrictions without prior notice. They advise Moldovan citizens to postpone planned trips until after April 16 and to continuously monitor official updates from the authorities.
