“THE WINE OF MOLDOVA” has named its winners. 12 Gold medals – glory for Castel Mimi

The national competition “THE WINE OF MOLDOVA,” held on November 21-22 in Chisinau, has designated the winners of the best wines and divinities produced in the country. The competition awarded medals to 89 of the 300 entries: 8 received Double Gold, 73 earned Gold, and eight secured Silver.

Among the wines awarded Gold by the local and international experts who judged the competition were 10 Castel Mimi wines and two cognacs – Cuza Voda Premium 12 and 15-year-old Cuza Voda Premium.

There are five white, red, and rosé wines from the classic series produced by Castel Mimi – Merlot 2020; Sfaditele 2020; Cabernet Sauvignon 2020; Rara Neagra Rose 2023 and Rosé de Bulboaca 2023. The best wine created from the indigenous Feteasca Neagra grape variety, from The Governor series, created in honor of Constantin Mimi, was also awarded Gold.

Two other art-inspired and art-dedicated wines are 9Muses Merlot Rosé and 9Muses Cabernet Sauvignon, premium wines elevated to the level of art, accessible for all to discover.

Two of the newest innovations in the Moldovan winemaking market—wines bottled by Castel Mimi in 54-gram PET bottles—ranked among the top-rated entries. The Climate Smart Packaging Merlot Rose and Climate Smart Packaging Sauvignon Blanc won gold medals, proving that the packaging does not compromise the quality of the wine.

The National Competition “WINE OF MOLDOVA” is dedicated to wines produced from autochthonous varieties, new varieties of Moldovan selection, wines obtained by blending with European varieties, and spirits of vitivinicultural origin.

The National Office of Vine and Wine organizes the wine competition with support from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry.
