Four officers of the Border Police will represent the Republic of Moldova at the European Games in Poland.
President Maia Sandu handed over the national flag of the Olympic team to Zalina Margieva, Sergei Margiyev, Adrian Mardara, and Dimitrian Bezeda.
“There are people in Moldova who bring us world fame and ensure the triumphant hoisting of the country’s flag at the most important championships. Behind the moments of glory of athletes are thousands of hours of grueling training and the people who support them: family members, coaches, teachers, doctors, and massage therapists. With their achievements, these athletes inspire children and young people who want to follow in their footsteps,” the head of state said.
