Three Moldovans detained in Paris for graffiti are released. On what conditions?

Three Moldovan nationals, previously detained in Paris for spray-painting images of coffins and the words “French Soldier in Ukraine” on walls, have been released under certain conditions. The court’s decision requires them to pay a fine of 15,000 euros and participate in socially beneficial activities.

The Paris prosecutor’s office reported that they began a judicial investigation on June 10 and charged the three Moldovans with damaging state property. However, the damage was deemed “insignificant.” Upon reviewing the case, the judge disregarded any political motives and ordered their release.

As noted by “Le Parisien,” the three young men, born in 2001, 2004, and 2006, were detained overnight from June 7 to 8, equipped with paint, gloves, and stencils. It followed the discovery of eight graffiti on the facades of buildings in the 7th arrondissement of Paris.
