Authorities in the Transnistrian region declared a state of economic emergency for a period of 30 days. The so called Supreme Soviet unanimously approved the decree issued by the region leader, Vadim Krasnoselski, Zona de Securitate reports.
The decree will enter into force on the evening of December 18.
On December 17, Moldova Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri stated that the economic and energy crisis on the left bank of the Dniester results from an unsustainable model based on the use of free energy resources by the Tiraspol authorities.
