The yellow terrorism alert level in the Transnistrian region has been extended until October 30. The decision was made by the region’s separatist leader, Vadim Krasnoselsky, in a decree signed on Friday, August 28.
The document was published on the website of the Tiraspol administration and entered into force on the same day.
The “yellow” terrorism alert was first introduced in the region in May 2022, following a series of incidents that the separatist administration described as “terrorist attacks.”
Among the incidents cited by Tiraspol was a Molotov cocktail attack on the building of the so-called “Ministry of State Security” in the region.
Since then, the alert level has been extended periodically and has remained in place without interruption.
The Transnistrian region is also under an economic state of emergency, which was extended in August until September 12.
