Travel alert in Bulgaria: Traffic will be temporarily suspended on the Giurgiu-Ruse Danube Bridge

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of the Republic of Moldova has issued a travel advisory for Moldovan citizens transiting or planning to travel through Bulgaria. Between 8:00 p.m. on June 12, 2025, and 4:00 a.m. on June 13, 2025, Bulgarian authorities will temporarily suspend all motor vehicle traffic on the Ruse–Giurgiu Danube Bridge.

The MFA urges Moldovan citizens to avoid this period and instead use alternative border crossing points between Romania and Bulgaria.
