Twelve Moldovans Evacuated from Israel via Egypt

A group of 12 Moldovan citizens has been evacuated from Israel, successfully leaving the war-torn country through Egypt.

Moldova’s Ambassador to Tel Aviv, Alexandr Roitman, reported that the diplomatic mission received around 450 phone calls and over 100 emails from Moldovan nationals seeking assistance.

“The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in the State of Israel identified, through direct contact with citizens who had previously requested evacuation (around 75 people), a group of 12 Moldovans who decided to leave Israel via Egypt,” said the ambassador.

Roitman noted that the Portuguese Embassy in Israel supported the evacuation and assisted Moldovan diplomats on the ground.
