Ukrainians aged between 18 and 60 years old have been banned from approaching the border with Moldova and Romania

In the Chernivtsi region, male Ukrainians aged between 18 and 60 have been banned from approaching the border with Moldova and Romania.

Such an order was signed by the head of the Chernivtsi border detachment of Ukraine, writes Digi24.

Men are forbidden to approach the border closer than five kilometers. Such a decision was taken after an increase in the number of cases of illegal crossing of the border by citizens to avoid conscription.

An exception is made for citizens who permanently or temporarily reside in the border zone or have land plots. In both cases, it is necessary to have a permit issued by the border guard unit.

Since the beginning of Russia’s war against Ukraine, about 15,000 Ukrainians have crossed the Moldovan border illegally.
