American diplomats in Moldova dressed up in our Traditional Embroidered Blouses. They convey that they are fond of Moldovan culture and folk costumes.
Employees of the American embassy in Chisinau have published a photo of themselves wearing national blouses in front of the embassy. According to them, the diplomatic mission is already in the habit of wearing embroidered shirts on the anniversary day.
“At the U.S. Embassy, it’s our tradition to don traditional embroidered blouses in celebration of Ia Day! What a beautiful tradition it is! Check out our photo and see how our community members are honoring this special day,” US diplomats note.

Since 2013, Universal Traditional Embroidered Blouses Day has been celebrated on June 24. Starting in 2022, traditional embroidered blouses have been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List as distinctive symbols of Romania and Moldova.
