Artur Mija has chosen to step away from the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) team to focus on personal goals, revealed Igor Grosu, leader of the party, during the Shadow Cabinet program on Jurnal TV, October 2. Grosu emphasized that, despite the withdrawal, the PAS parliamentary majority remained intact following the September 28, 2025, elections.
Although Mija appeared on the PAS candidate list and had a strong chance of securing a seat in the new Parliament, he will not serve as a deputy. Grosu, however, expressed confidence that Mija will eventually return, stressing that he intends to call on him when needed.
Before the first Government meeting following the elections, Mija announced that he would take a break after 10 years of continuous work within the PAS team. He previously served as Secretary General of the Government and head of the party’s electoral staff.
