During his official visit to Chisinau, Marcel Ciolacu expressed his support for Moldova’s accession. “We are brothers, and we have only one goal – the integration of the Republic of Moldova into the European Union,” the Romanian premier said.
I do not believe in a little brother or a big brother. We are brothers and have a single objective: the Republic of Moldova’s integration into the European Union. By comparison, 20 billion euros of European money is being invested in Romania this year. It means integration into the European Union.
Let me say just one thing: Russia is no guarantee for the Republic of Moldova. Russia will lead the Republic of Moldova into isolation and poverty. It will bring neither security nor development. I love the Republic of Moldova. I love it wholeheartedly, and we must face the challenges,” concluded the head of the Bucharest executive.
