Europeans will closely watch the elections in Moldova. The EU Parliament is sending observers, says Parliament Vice-President Doina Gherman. The official made this statement alongside MEP Siegfried Muresan, who was on an official visit to Chisinau on Friday, October 4.
“We have managed to keep the peace. It means a stronger, safer, and more prosperous European Union. I firmly believe that Moldova is closer than ever to achieving its European goal. Having confidence in its people, in its citizens, but also in its European destiny,” said the Chisinau official.

In his turn, Muresan revealed that the European Parliament will adopt a resolution supporting Moldova’s European integration next week. Also, according to him, on October 20, the EU legislature will send an election observation mission to our country.
The Romanian MEP visited our country after being elected head of the European Parliament delegation for relations with Moldova. His visit coincided with the arrival in Chisinau of Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu.
