(VIDEO) €300 million from the EU: for the economy, infrastructure, and education

Moldovans will receive an initial tranche of €300 million from the European Union, funds aimed at developing infrastructure, supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, and investing in education and other key sectors. President Maia Sandu made these statements during the NordNews LIVE show, which aired on June 26, 2025.

”We want to stimulate economic growth. We all know we’re going through a complicated period—both due to the nearby war and the crises we’ve faced. Our economy badly needs support,” stated the head of state.

Most funds will build infrastructure. The goal is to attract investment and create jobs. The plan also includes supporting small and medium-sized businesses by improving their access to financing. Extra funds will support education and other sectors that enhance competitiveness and productivity.
