(VIDEO) Igor Shishianu from Cantemir renounced a career in IT and opened a carpentry workshop in the city

Igor Shishianu, a native of Cantemir, gave up a career in IT and now owns a carpentry workshop in the city. He obtained a European grant and used the money to buy woodworking equipment.

“At the moment we do hand carpentry with natural wood. It’s not that simple, and there are few specialists in this field. My wife and I are currently working together. We applied for the ODA project, PARE 1+1, worth 250 000 lei. With this money, we bought more professional equipment. I thank the European Union for its support and the opportunity to stay home and create a business,” said the entrepreneur.

Igor Shishianu’s story is part of the campaign launched by the REALITATEA Press Group: “Moldova Chooses Europe,” in which we tell about successful businesses launched in Moldova with financial support from the European Union.
