The Holy Trinity Municipal Clinical Hospital in Chisinau has marked 50 years of activity with an anniversary event attended by Chisinau Mayor Ion Ceban.
Ceban appeared before the medical staff in a wheelchair after undergoing surgery on his legs. He congratulated the hospital’s doctors, medical staff and employees for their decades of work and dedication to their profession.
“I am proud that over the past six years, together with the hospital administration, we have managed to implement vital projects for the institution, for the comfort of its employees and patients,” Ceban said.
He added that Chisinau City Hall has allocated 110 million lei over the past six years for the hospital’s development.
“The 110 million lei contributed by the City Hall have been used for the comprehensive rehabilitation of the hospital building, capital repairs, improving the hospital’s energy efficiency, expanding the facility, opening new departments, equipping the medical institution and supporting the purchase of state-of-the-art machinery and equipment, as well as improving the hospital grounds and creating better conditions,” Ceban said.
The Holy Trinity Municipal Clinical Hospital was founded in March 1976. When it opened, it was called Municipal Clinical Hospital No. 3. The official order establishing the institution was signed on March 2, 1976, by then Health Minister Chiril Draganiuc.
On March 17, 1994, following a request from the hospital’s medical staff, the institution was renamed the Holy Trinity Municipal Clinical Hospital.
Today, the hospital comprises more than 20 medical departments and specialized units. It provides medical care across 18 specialized fields and has a total capacity of 600 beds.
