(VIDEO) Moldova, a Key EU Partner: Mazeiks Reveals What Will Be Discussed at the July 4 Summit

EU Ambassador to Chisinau, Janis Mazeiks, called the upcoming Moldova–EU Summit on July 4 in Chisinau “an unprecedented meeting,” stating that “the presence of European leaders at this event will reaffirm the close ties between the EU and our country.” He explained that such summits only take place with what he described as “main partners.”

In an interview with Agora, Mazeiks emphasized that, in the view of European officials, Moldova “has achieved a great deal in a very short time.” He revealed that the July summit will address “crucial topics” central to Moldova–EU relations.

“We will discuss all pressing issues between the Republic of Moldova and the EU. We’re highlighting the reforms the country is implementing, the European integration process, negotiations, challenges related to energy, and Russia’s war against Ukraine. Of course, we will also cover the €1.9 billion Growth Plan for Moldova,” said Mazeiks.
