(VIDEO) Moldova Contributes to the Development of a Video Game with Global Impact

The production company TroFilm Group, led by producer Trofim Gutanu, launched an international collaboration with EGOVERSE LIMITED (Hong Kong) to develop a large-scale narrative video game inspired by real events. The project is currently in its pre-production phase, focusing on world-building, visual documentation, and 3D asset development.

In the past three months, teams in Moldova have engaged in an intensive process of creating graphic elements using photogrammetry. This advanced scanning method enables the production of highly detailed and realistic 3D models. Local developers used this technology in one of the most advanced and complex ways seen so far in video game development.

“The biggest challenge was building a team of technical artists and 3D specialists who could quickly adapt to the specific requirements of AAA gaming. The team went through a demanding phase marked by accelerated learning and continuous selection. As a result, we managed to form a dedicated core of professionals capable of delivering work at an internationally competitive level,” said executive producer Trofim Gutanu.

AAA games represent the leading and most expensive productions in the video game industry, typically developed by major studios with large budgets and teams. These titles emphasize high-end graphics, complex gameplay, and gripping storytelling, and they are considered the industry’s blockbusters.

The Moldovan team scanned and processed hundreds of objects—from military props to environmental and decorative elements—all set to be integrated into the game engine. The partnership with EGOVERSE LIMITED brought demanding quality standards, but Moldova proved its ability to deliver competitive digital content on a global scale.

The game is being developed for a multi-platform release within the next three years, with plans for international distribution. It will blend cinematic, narrative-driven gameplay with moral choices and an accurate reconstruction of a wartime setting.

This collaboration helps establish Moldova as a rising player in Eastern Europe’s creative and gaming industries. It also demonstrates that local talent, when paired with technological investment and international partnerships, can produce content with a truly global impact.
