The founder of the “DA” Platform, Andrei Nastase, who has announced that he will run as an independent candidate for President of the Republic of Moldova, proposes amending Article 47 of the Constitution. According to the politician, this would “guarantee decent incomes, salaries, and pensions that cover the minimum subsistence minimum.”
Nastase also calls for “a monthly allowance for all Moldovan children.” He made the statement at a press conference on Monday, July 29.
“The country’s President has a moral, legal, and constitutional obligation to ensure that Moldovans can live in Moldova. Establish a monthly allowance for all Moldovan children, not just the children of ambassadors. The allowance of 3,000 lei monthly for children up to 3 years and 1,000 lei monthly for children from 3 to 18 years. The introduction of this allowance would support both parents and children. The amount allocated would be a welcome support for the family and could be a measure to encourage the birth rate,” said Nastase.

In this context, the politician urged the President of the Republic of Moldova to submit the two legislative initiatives to the Parliament, stressing that “politicians in power must do everything so that families can put bread on their table and our grandparents can have care and a decent living.”
Today, July 29, marks the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova. It sets the general principles of society, human rights, and duties. Authorities adopted the Constitution on July 29, 1994.
