People destabilizing the country would like to take over some state institutions by force. The statement was made by the head of the National Police, Viorel Cernauteanu, during the program “Cutia Neagra.” The official said the authorities are working together to avoid dangers.
“They ensured that certain trained processes and separate groups know all these things. I don’t want to say it is the police. It is a broader collusion between state institutions.
Certain intentions materialize, pursuing much deeper goals, even hoarding or actions of disturbances to take over certain targets. Some see this reflected in their processes of cooperation and collaboration. They also intended in the spring of 2023, when they set certain tasks to accomplish, but we saw that we failed. The goals are far more ambitious than simply throwing paint,” Cernauteanu revealed.

In late September and early October, vandals targeted several state institutions, including the Government headquarters, the Central Electoral Commission, the Ministry of Labor, the Supreme Court of Justice, and the national television. Unknown persons threw paint or eggs at the facades or entrance doors.
Police identified the suspects and revealed they were part of an organized group trained in Moscow. They paid the individuals up to 5000 euros for these actions.
