Chisinau’s Central Market recently hosted a high-ranking international visitor. In May, Moldova welcomed Per Olsson Fridh, director of the Swedish Agency for Peace, Security and Development (FBA) and former Minister of International Cooperation for Development. His schedule included a shopping visit to the Central Market, and he left with a bag full of goods, cancan.md reports.
Fridh immersed himself in local life, filling his fridge with fresh produce from the market.
He bought strawberries, tomatoes, and cucumbers, and vendors even offered him a few Romanian language lessons. After finishing his shopping, he enjoyed a coffee from a nearby kiosk.
