(VIDEO) Support for local business: the Director of the ODA in dialog with entrepreneurs from Cimislia district

The Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA) director, Vadim Codreanu, visited the business incubator in Cimislia. During the meeting, representatives presented the support programs offered by the ODA to assist small and medium-sized businesses in the country.

“Entrepreneurs from the city of Cimislia are predisposed to the ODA programs. We have a lot of them, about 40 beneficiaries of the ODA programs, from 40.000 up to 1.500.000…especially in the last programs with the Re-technologization. There are also applicants for Program 373 seeking a bank guarantee,” said the director of the Business Incubator Cimislia, Alexander Stomatov.

Andrian Talmaci, President of the Cimislia district, emphasized the importance of supporting local entrepreneurship for the region’s economic development.

“The visits of the representatives of the ODA and even of the Director to Cimislia are very welcome because the economic agents in the territory know some of them know how to access the given programs or applications, but many of them do not know, because they do not have time to search or check what programs the ODA has, so they are welcome, and they only bring added value for our economic agents in the territory,” said Andrian Talmaci.

The European Union supports the development of entrepreneurship in the Republic of Moldova, the development of support infrastructure in the regions, business sustainability, and integration into the EU economic space. The Organization for Entrepreneurship Development director Vadim Codreanu stated it.

“We are a relatively integrated economy in the international or global circuit, and we trade a lot with the EU. When we say trade, we also have to think about competition from similar businesses from the European Union. We are a net exporting country of certain products. We must be competitive in the market where we want to export. That is why the support provided by the state and development partners, the European Union, is very relevant and necessary to bring our companies at least at the level of European companies”, concluded the director of the ODA, Vadim Codreanu.

The Organization for Development of Entrepreneurship (ODA) is a public institution whose mission is to implement state policies to support entrepreneurship development in the Republic of Moldova.

Since the beginning of the year, the ODA has registered 356 companies, facilitating access to grants totaling over 144 million lei. Almost 116 million lei of this amount comes from the state budget.
