(VIDEO) The EU is closer to entrepreneurs through the ODE Business Information and Advisory Centre in Balti

The European Union is closer to entrepreneurs from the North of Moldova through the Organisation for the Development of Entrepreneurship (ODE) Business Information and Advisory Centre in Balti. The main aim of the Centre is to train and develop entrepreneurial skills and provide advice on grant programmes for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to increase the competitiveness and resilience of businesses.

“Following the business guidance, entrepreneurs can access non-reimbursable funds offered by the Government of Moldova and the European Union under the EU for SMEs project. Thus, the European Union is contributing €8 million to co-finance seven key programmes: PARE 1+2, Start for Youth, SME Greening Programme, Digital Transformation Programme, Energy Efficiency and Retrofitting Programme, Women Entrepreneurship Support Programme and Rural Tourism Programme,” reads a press release.

The Business Information and Consulting Centre in Balti, located at 13 Decebal Street, is open from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 to 17:30.

As a reminder, the inauguration of the Centre took place at the end of January this year, within the framework of the initiative “Support for sustainable and inclusive economic development in the Republic of Moldova.” The project is financially supported through the “EU4Moldova: Local Communities” program, offered by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The implementation of the project is managed by the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ).
