Police officers caught a 33-year-old woman from Ukraine in the act in a forest near Durlesti on suspicion of involvement in a synthetic drug trafficking network coordinated through the Telegram application.
During searches, law enforcement officers seized more than seven kilograms of synthetic narcotics, as well as equipment used to portion and package the drugs. Authorities estimate the value of the confiscated substances at more than 5 million lei.
Investigators detained the suspect for 72 hours. Under current legislation, she faces a prison sentence of up to 15 years.
