The Voynichaska folk dance ensemble has become famous on the internet thanks to a video clip showing the young members of the ensemble dancing joyfully on a beach in Bulgaria. “The children performed one of the folk dances,” told Maxim Burenescu, one of the ensemble’s coaches from Telenesti, Unimedia.info reports.
“We were in Bulgaria at a competition festival held in the old town of Nessebar. Sunday was the opening, and Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday were the three days of the competition more, than, 80 artistic numbers of music and dance were presented. Today, there will be a concert where the strongest groups representing Moldova, Georgia, Ukraine, and Bulgaria will perform. Tomorrow the results of the competition will be announced. We will wait for the announcement of Moldova’s place,” said Maxim Burenescu, one of the coaches of the Voyniceasca Folk Dance Ensemble.
“A part from a suite of folk dances was performed on the beach. We thought that it would be great to dance on the beach in Bulgaria,” Maxim Burenescu added.
The young dancers danced with the Moldovan flag.
The video immediately went viral on the networks, gathering thousands of likes and comments.
