What Prime Minister Dorin Recean Discussed in Chisinau with France’s Minister Delegate for European Affairs

The firm support for our country’s European path and the implementation of significant reforms for the modernization of the Republic of Moldova was reaffirmed on Friday, October 22, by France’s Minister Delegate for European Affairs, Benjamin Haddad, during a meeting with Prime Minister Dorin Recean. The officials discussed the current regional situation, the objectives of the bilateral agenda, and opportunities to strengthen the Moldova-France dialogue in areas of mutual interest.

The Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the consistent support from the French side, particularly in the process of the Republic of Moldova’s European integration. He also spoke about the authorities’ current priorities, ensuring peace and security, revitalizing the economy, and reforming the justice system.

“Justice reform is the foundation for all other reforms. It is essential to have honest and courageous judges and prosecutors in the system,” emphasized the Prime Minister.
Another objective concerns attracting foreign investments into the national economy.

“We encourage French businesspeople to invest in the Republic of Moldova. The sectors offering numerous opportunities and experiencing continuous growth include information technology, electronics, and pharmaceuticals. This country has talent and innovation – we are looking for long-term capital to unlock their potential,” noted Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
