Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu considers the practice of presenting a report after 100 days in office outdated. He believes the tradition originated in the Soviet era. When journalists asked about his priorities for the first months of his mandate, Munteanu said that his team plans to deliver tangible results.
The head of the executive stated that the ministers will focus on attracting investment to Moldova and implement measures to stimulate economic growth.
“We are not talking about 100 days. I don’t think it’s a good idea — it seems a little outdated to me, from Soviet times. As promised, together with my colleagues and the team, we will try to show results in the short, medium, and long term. The measures are primarily aimed at economic development. We want to revive economic growth and bring as much investment as possible to the Republic of Moldova,” said Munteanu.
The prime minister made these remarks during the swearing-in ceremony of the new government. He told journalists that his first discussions as head of government will take place with his counterparts in Romania, the European Union, and the United States.
