The XXIII edition of the National Wine Day is approaching, marked on October 5-6 in the Republic of Moldova. It is a special event where the whole country will honor wine and the tireless work of our winemakers.
Those who want to celebrate wine away from the crowded city and Grand National Assembly Square are invited to Castel Mimi, just 40 km from Chisinau, on 5 October, where the traditional “Show Must Go On” event will be organized. Skilled chefs will prepare traditional pies, grilled barbecue, and meat delicacies in front of visitors. The winery will pour unlimited quantities of young wine into glass goblets to entice guests.
And what kind of celebration would it be without music? Throughout the event, guests will enjoy live music performed by Felicia Dunaf with the DUNAFF BAND, who will entertain the audience with local and international hits. The ensemble “Dorurele,” Maria Iliut, and “Crenguta de Iedera” will perform the folkloric show, and the surprise of the day is the popular folk singer Zinaida Julea, who will give a recital. The artistic program will include the well-known song “It’s a Feast, and Music is Ringing.”
A huge Hor a will be played on the grounds of Castel Mimi, one of the 15 most beautiful wineries in the world, to celebrate the grapes and Moldovan wine made from local varieties. All the guests will get caught up in this horde, along with the “Stramoseasca” folk dance ensemble.

Party-goers are encouraged to come to Castel Mimi on the Wine Train to have a great time and give up their cars in favor of eco-friendly transportation. The “Stramoseasca” Ensemble will greet travelers festively upon disembarking with folk dances, bread, and salt.
The “Show Must Go On” will end after 20:00 with music mixed by DJs, during which parents and children can bake marshmallows over an open fire – the perfect way to end an unforgettable day.
