Youth from Moldova, together with peers from Ukraine, Georgia, and the Western Balkans, can make their voices heard in the energy transition by entering an international competition launched by the Energy Community Secretariat, which the European Commission co-chairs. The winner will receive a one-month paid internship at the Energy Community Secretariat in Vienna. Other prizes include a field mission on the energy transition in the Western Balkans and a spot at the Climate Reporting Training that CAN Europe will hold in Ohrid, North Macedonia, from September 1–3, IPN reports.
The Just Transition Young Voices Awards 2025 competition invites 18- to 30-year-olds to join the debate on moving to a green, fair economy. Organizers ask participants to submit original English-language articles of 700–1,100 words documenting the local challenges and solutions they encounter during the energy transformation.
Authors must base their articles on facts, reflect on their communities’ realities, and offer perspectives on making the energy transition both inclusive and sustainable.
