The YUFest Association is implementing the project “European Moldova Explained to Citizens: Information, Dialogue and Truth About EU Accession,” funded by the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova (DRRM). As part of the initiative, the organization has made a digital guide dedicated to the Republic of Moldova’s accession to the European Union available to the public on its website, www.yufest.ro.
Created as a free information resource, the guide explains in accessible language the main stages of accession negotiations, the necessary reforms, the role of democratic institutions, and the potential impact of European integration on citizens’ daily lives.
The guide contains structured information about the accession process, citizens’ rights and responsibilities, educational and professional opportunities, as well as a section addressing the most frequently asked questions and false information about the European Union.
The material is intended for the general public, particularly young people, students, civil society representatives, and anyone interested in better understanding the Republic of Moldova’s European path.
Alongside the digital guide, the YUFest Association is producing and distributing a series of explanatory videos and reports. Using practical examples and contributions from experts, these materials present the main aspects of the European Union accession process. They also cover Romania’s experience following European integration, opportunities for young people, and ways to identify and combat disinformation.
The project runs from July to October 2026 and aims to inform citizens of the Republic of Moldova about the European integration process.
“The project’s goal is to facilitate citizens’ access to clear, accurate, and easy-to-understand information about the stages of accession to the European Union, the benefits and responsibilities associated with this process, and the opportunities that the European path can offer the Republic of Moldova. At the same time, the initiative seeks to combat disinformation and myths about the European Union, promote democratic values, and draw on Romania’s experience as an EU member state,” the association’s representatives announced.
