Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatii conducted an official visit to London, United Kingdom, on November 25-26, at the invitation of UK Defense Secretary John Healey.
During a bilateral meeting, the officials discussed the Republic of Moldova’s strategic objectives and highlighted the importance of the recently signed Defense and Security Partnership between the United Kingdom and Moldova in Chisinau. The agreement outlines expanded cooperation across multiple areas, including strengthening resilience against hybrid challenges such as combating disinformation.
”Nowadays’ vulnerable security context, the support of our international partners in achieving our strategic objectives is vital. I am confident that only together can we contribute to maintaining a secure and prosperous environment for our citizens. The United Kingdom, through its openness and support, remains one of the key contributors to the modernization efforts of the National Army,” stated Minister Nosatii during the discussions.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the two officials reviewed the bilateral defense cooperation and key achievements in this area.

They also explored opportunities to deepen the partnership, a topic previously addressed during the Strategic Dialogue “Republic of Moldova – United Kingdom” in April.
In London, Anatolie Nosatii also met with Luke Pollard, UK Minister for the Armed Forces, and other officials. Discussions focused on regional security, the impact of the war in Ukraine on Moldova’s development efforts, hybrid threats, and the measures Moldovan authorities took to counter them.
After the visit, the parties agreed to enhance dialogue through new projects and initiatives, transforming the National Army into a modern institution capable of fulfilling its constitutional missions. They also committed to strengthening efforts to increase resilience against current hybrid challenges.
