A total of 565 companies in Moldova benefited in 2025 from electricity cost compensations provided through the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA), with total support amounting to 139 million lei.
The government launched the electricity cost compensation program to support the business environment affected by rising energy tariffs. The European Union financially supported the initiative as part of its efforts to strengthen Moldova’s economy and enhance the resilience of small and medium-sized enterprises.
Under the program, entrepreneurs received compensation covering 50 percent of the increase in electricity tariffs. Authorities provided the compensations throughout the entire year.
The Electronic Governance Agency supported the implementation of the program, enabling entrepreneurs to submit applications fully online, either through the EVO application or via the MCabinet platform.
