6 Moldovan pupils won prizes at the Balkan Olympiad in Mathematics

A Moldovan team of students won a silver medal, four bronze medals, and one honorable mention at the Balkan Junior Mathematical Olympiad, held from June 25 to 30 in Antalya, Turkey.

According to the Ministry of Education, the silver award went to Daniel Tricolici, a student of the Theoretical Lyceum named after Spiru Haret in Chisinau. Spiru Haret in Chisinau.

Anastasia Corsac, Bogdan Leahu, and Andrea Francu, private lyceum pupils, won bronze medals. The Spiru Haret Theoretical Lyceum in Chisinau pupil Paulina Danu won the bronze medal.

The honorary award went to Dominic Visiru, the Spiru Haret Theoretical Lyceum in Chisinau pupil.

The 135 pupils from 22 countries attended the 28th Balkan Junior Mathematical Olympiad. Six students and two supervisors represented Moldova.
