Guests of the Capital who will participate in the European Community Summit on June 1 will receive free public transport passes for the entire period of their stay in the city. This announcement was made by the Mayor of the Capital, Ion Ceban, who stated that all necessary measures are being taken in this regard.
“Regarding June 1st, we have submitted all proposals, and we will do everything in our power to make it happen. We have communicated that it would be good to repair the road from the airport and the city gates. We have asked our colleagues from the Government to take care of the road to the city gates, especially since we do not have financial resources, nor can we organize tenders. At the same time, 2,500 public transport passes, called Summit, will be distributed from May 28 to June 3 to those who come to Chișinău, for assistance teams, journalists, technical teams, and officials who are not of the highest level. I ask the Transport Department to see how we can do these things and to transmit them to the Government no later than May 20, so that they can provide these passes for all guests who come,” said Ion Ceban.
